The idea for Art of Writing came about when Director, Anicca O’Nions had inherited a box of hand-written letters from her Grandmother dating back over 50 years - a fascinating correspondence that had great personal meaning for her.
“After pouring over the letters, in my Grandmother’s beautiful handwriting, I couldn’t help feeling that my last two years worth of correspondence, all via email seemed to be a cold and impersonal way to communicate with family and friends that was unlikely to last 50 years”, she says.
From that point on Anicca resumed her correspondence by writing, but soon found that high quality stationery and writing accessories were hard to find on the internet. In 2005, the Art of Writing online store opened with a range of designer stationery sets.
